Just one prospect on a quiet Wednesday and that player was incredible. Nathan Aspinall with a five point night (3-2-5) as his Flint Firebirds destroyed the Guelph Storm 9-1.

Aspinall earned his first point of the game when he gave the puck to teammate Darels Uljanskis for a power play goal from the high slot. The goal coming at 3:52 of the first period gave the Firebirds a 1-0 lead.
Aspinall himself made it 2-0 when he fired a blast from next to the right faceoff circle that the Guelph goalie has no chance on. The even strength goal at 15:02 of the first period would prove to be the game winning goal.

It was Aspinall’s 19th goal of the season and his third game winning goal. Exactly 1:13 later, Aspinall earned his third point of the game when he passed the puck to linemate Jimmy Lombardi who scored to make it 3-0.
The power play goal was Aspinall’s second assist of the game and his 26th of the season. Point number four was Aspinall’s second goal of the game as Aspinall took a pass from teammate Darels Uljanskis then took the puck right to the goal and flipped a backhand shot in.

It was his 20th goal of the season and it made it 6-1 for the Firebirds. Aspinall would earn the hat trick in the third period when he ripped a shot past the Guelph goalie.
